Born in 1998 and of Nigerian-Scottish descent, Aaron Azunda Akugbo hails from Edinburgh and is poised as a future leading exponent of his instrument. Having been shortlisted for the RPS Young Artist award and named one of Classic FM’s Rising Stars of 2024, Aaron continues to gain recognition for his exceptional talent and dedication to the trumpet, promising a bright future in the world of classical music.

Joined for this concert by accordionist, Ryan Corbett, in an eclectic programme arranged by Ryan, for trumpet and accordion.
